What’s the sense of making all this music if you can’t take it with you, you ask? Well, we agree! We’d like to introduce MP3 downloading of anything you hear on the site. We’ll be adding ID3 tags to them by the end of the week, but if you’d like to try it out now, we would love your feedback!

Have you noticed it’s getting a little crowded in here? Invitations are no longer required to join Splice and our membership is growing quickly! Of course, this shouldn’t stop you from telling your friends about us, and it’s easy to do. You can enter someone’s email address in the invite box on your profile page and we will let them know you’re here. When they sign up, you’ll automatically be friends!
You might have noticed some big changes around here. We’ve been working hard to bring you new features. You can rate the things you hear now, and you can also save them to your Favorites so that it’s easy to find them again. Our seach page has gotten prettier and the new sequencer toolbar really makes it easier for you to make songs. We wanted to thank everyone who has been hanging out with us during this first phase of building. If you check out your profile, you will notice that you can now invite some of your friends to come and make music with you. Just enter their email address and when they sign up you will automatically be friends. Don’t worry if you use them all up - we’ll give out more from time to time.
